Guides and tips

We show you how to take care of our fittings to extend and preserve their useful life.

How to care for your stainless steel fittings

The fittings should be kept free of dust at all times by periodically using clean, dry cloths. Especially on the coast, dust contains saline elements, which, combined with high humidity, cause corrosion on metals.

Never apply solvents, polishes or detergents; also do not stick material with glues (adhesive tapes, etc.) which break the structure of the lacquer (on lacquered finishes).

Install fittings only when the door or furniture is completely finished and finished.
While preparing the installations always keep the fittings in original containers and store them away from damp places.

As the metal coatings we apply to different metals are decorative, we never recommend:

Using abrasive elements on them, (scourers, screwdrivers, or any kind of tool).

As far as possible avoid any metal contact with the coating (rings), since despite being resistant to a series of conditions, the hardness of these coatings when in contact with other metals by friction significantly deteriorates the final finish.

For greater durability, DO NOT use any cleaning product to clean them because chemical agents quickly deteriorate the natural state of the coating. To clean, simply use a damp cloth .

All our finishes have undergone rigorous corrosion tests without problems, such as ASTM B287-74 Certification, which is for exposure to the most aggressive weather conditions (there is no equivalence to surpassing the standard, equal to coating life time).
